About Me

My name is Ben Melville and I am the founder of Ben10Training. My motivation to launch Ben10Training started back in 2022 while I was a two-sport college athlete, playing both basketball and football. I found myself in incredible amounts of pain on a day-to-day basis despite doing all of “the right things”. I was stretching for an hour everyday, taking ice-baths daily, getting treatment, eating right, and the whole 9 yards. I was very hardworking, and it felt like my hard work was being canceled out due to fighting through pain and being sidelined from injuries. I was ready to accept my fate of being crippled in pain and just move on with life after sports. As I was ready to throw in the towel, I was introduced to GOATA training from Coach Garry Sheffler, owner of GLS Training, and Ricky Stanzi, former NFL quarterback and co-owner of GLS Training. They introduced me to a new form of training known as GOATA that focuses on strengthening an athletes movement patterns primarily through isometrics and decompression. I’ll be honest, at first I though it was ridiculous. Not only were they telling me that everything I’ve been taught was essentially hurting me more than it’s been helping me, but all I had to do was simply move different and I’ll feel better. I figured I was already a slave to my body’s wear and tear, so I thought, “why not”. After about 2 sessions I noticed an immediate difference in the type of work that I was doing, and after about two weeks, the changes in how I was moving as well as the difference in my level of pain was shocking. The more I continued to learn, the more I connected the dots, and everything just made sense. Now I’m not a doctor, and I’m not a physical therapist, but I am a high level athlete and a certified trainer that has done the conventional methods of athletic training, as well as the movement-based methods. I’m here to tell you the results are drastically different and quite frankly, not even comparable.

Our Training

Welcome to a life-changing experience! Whether you are a high level athlete, a trainer looking to educate yourself, or just an average Joe trying to get out of pain, you've come to the right place! My training is centered around having strong movement patterns that allow the body to load and transfer force in the most optimal way possible. The result of strong movement will lead to an increase in athleticism, less day-to-day pain, and reduce the chance of non-contact injuries (ACL/Achilles tears). The foundation of this training is based on the GOATA movement system. If you’re not familiar, the GOATA movement system was founded by GLS training and is trusted by hundreds of pro athletes worldwide. When the foundations of good movement patterns are applied, the results are better health, reduced risk of injury, increased durability, natural fluidity, and increased athleticism.

A document titled 'The Global Laws of GOATA', outlining steps such as Columns, Foot Control, Load the Pressure, Transfer the Pressure, Head Control, and Back Chain Dominance, with instructions related to pressure and system control techniques.

The foundations of good movement are nothing that myself or anyone else made up. The evidence is simply all round you. The most durable athletes in the world all possess the same foundational movement patterns that we are teaching. Athletes like Michael Jordan, Randy Moss, Allen Iverson, Barry Sanders, and many others shared these commonalities in their movement, and the result was long and healthy careers with minimal injuries
